Must... have... coffees!

Ahh, coffee in the morning. Comes right before I leave for the EPFL, where I will brew up a pot of green tea (Huang Shan Mao Feng at this time) to carry me through the day ;)

Unfortunately I haven't found a coffee-roaster (roastary? roasting-facility? coffee-vendor? Unbelievable that I don't know this essential English word!) in Lausanne yet. In Vienna this is no problem, with Eduscho and Tchibo all over the city, as well as other, independent Kaffeeröstereien.

But the coffee-culture is sadly lacking here in Switzerland. Today I will check out a small 3rd-world store, they sometimes have decent coffee. There's also a Starbucks, but going there to buy coffee goes against the grain of my small, Viennese soul...

I compliment you on resisting the fast-drinking-coffee-mania.
So here's the question: how did you survive Oz? I could not find many places offering decent coffee.
    Except Melbourne, of course.

  2. Why do you think that I survived? I am now of the dread caffeine-zombies! Fear my cold, coffee-grabbing paws!

  3. I believe it is called a coffee-machine in English, not that I a would know. I never yielded to the forces of darkness and so never began drinking that vile stuff!

For the record I think there is only 1 Starbucks in Canberra, in Civic. Gloria Jeans is about as bad though.
